Position Overview
VocoVision is seeking an experienced Virtual Sign Language Interpreter to support K-12 students in a Georgia school district for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a fully remote 1099 independent contractor opportunity for interpreters who are passionate about providing accessible communication services in an educational setting.

Start Date: August 10, 2026
End Date: May 21, 2027
Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
Location: Fully Remote (Georgia School District)

Minimum Qualifications

Active Georgia GAPSC Sign Language Interpreter Certification
EIPA score of 3.5 or higher
Prior virtual sign language interpreting experience in a K-12 school setting
Strong knowledge of educational terminology and IEP environments
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with school staff

Responsibilities

Provide real-time virtual interpreting services for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing during instructional and school-related activities.
Facilitate clear communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional interpreting standards.
Collaborate with educational teams to support student success in the virtual learning environment.
