Sign Language Interpreter Opening – 26/27 School Year
Details:
Remote or Onsite Position
Full-Time or Part-Time based on district needs
K-12 Caseload
Provide interpreting services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
Facilitate communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers
Interpret classroom instruction, meetings, school activities, and other educational settings
Support students during academic and extracurricular activities
Collaborate with teachers, staff, parents, and administration
Maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation
Support an inclusive and accessible learning environment

Education and Certification
Appropriate state Sign Language Interpreter certification/licensure
Bachelor's Degree in Interpreting, Deaf Studies, or a related field preferred
Experience working in a school setting preferred
Experience interpreting American Sign Language (ASL) preferred
New graduates are encouraged to apply
EIPA certification or other recognized interpreter credential preferred, depending on district requirements
Virtual interpreting experience preferred
