Virtual Sign Language Interpreter | Georgia

A full-time virtual Sign Language Interpreter is required to provide interpreting services for two 6th grade middle school students. This role involves telehealth delivery within a school setting, supporting students in accessing their educational curriculum effectively through American Sign Language (ASL).

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver clear and accurate sign language interpretation via telehealth for middle school students
• Collaborate with teachers, students, and staff to facilitate effective communication and learning
• Maintain compliance with all educational and professional standards related to interpreting
• Support academic and social interactions to enhance student participation and understanding

Qualifications:

• Valid Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) certification in Sign Language Interpreting is mandatory
• Demonstrated experience working with middle school-aged students
• Proficiency in American Sign Language, with the ability to interpret educational content accurately
• Experience with telehealth platforms and virtual communication tools
• Strong communication skills and cultural sensitivity to support diverse learners

Location:

• Remote/Virtual assignment serving students in Decatur, GA within the Fulton County school system

Schedule:

• Full-time hours, Monday through Friday, 8:45 AM to 4:15 PM
