A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to provide telehealth services at a school in Dora, AL. The assignment entails supporting a 14-year-old student, delivering clear and effective communication through sign language interpretation.
Responsibilities include:
- Facilitating communication between the student and educational staff during telehealth sessions
- Ensuring accurate and expressive interpretation of spoken and signed language to promote understanding
- Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
- Collaborating with educators to support the student's learning needs
Desired qualifications:
- Proven experience as a sign language interpreter, preferably in school or telehealth settings
- Strong knowledge of ASL and interpreting techniques
- Ability to work 30 hours weekly, with availability starting ASAP through May 21st
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to supporting a student’s academic and social development through effective interpretation
