Online Sign Language Interpreter - ID

A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter with experience in telehealth services. This role supports communication accessibility within a school setting.

Location: Firth, ID

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate effective communication between students, staff, and other stakeholders using American Sign Language (ASL).
• Provide telehealth interpreting services to support remote learning and virtual meetings.
• Ensure accuracy and clarity in conveying messages during educational activities and consultations.
• Collaborate with educators and healthcare professionals to accommodate the needs of deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards in all interpreting assignments.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language with experience interpreting in educational environments.
• Familiarity with telehealth technology and remote interpreting protocols.
• Ability to interpret complex academic and medical terminology accurately.
• Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.
• Relevant certification or training in sign language interpreting preferred.
