Remote Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Georgia

A contract position is available for a Sign Language Interpreter specializing in telehealth services within a school setting. This role requires clear communication skills to facilitate effective interaction between hearing-impaired students and educational staff through remote platforms.

Location: Forsyth, GA
Schedule: 3.5 hours per day, several days per week
Contract duration: Specified by assignment

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide sign language interpretation via telehealth to support student learning and communication
• Facilitate understanding between students and educators, ensuring accurate and timely interpretation of lessons and discussions
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
• Collaborate with educational staff to adapt communication strategies to meet individual student needs

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience as a certified Sign Language Interpreter, preferably with telehealth applications
• Strong knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and deaf culture
• Ability to work effectively in an online environment with appropriate technology
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
