Remote Sign Language Interpreter in NY

A full-time Sign Language Interpreter with telehealth experience is needed to support elementary-level students in a school setting. This position operates from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, providing critical communication access to students requiring sign language services.

Responsibilities include interpreting spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa during educational activities, telehealth sessions, and routine school interactions. Attention will be focused on elementary students’ needs, ensuring clear and accurate interpretation tailored to a diverse caseload. Collaboration with educators and service providers will support student development and access to the curriculum.

Desired Qualifications:

• Proficiency and certification in American Sign Language interpreting
• Experience in telehealth interpreting preferred
• Familiarity with educational environments, particularly elementary-level support
• Strong communication skills, both receptive and expressive
