Online Sign Language Interpreter - GA

A full-time virtual Sign Language Interpreter is needed to support two 6th grade students in a middle school setting. This role involves providing high-quality telehealth interpreting services for American Sign Language (ASL) instruction and communication support within a school district environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering accurate, clear, and culturally appropriate ASL interpretation for educational activities
• Facilitating communication between students, teachers, and staff during virtual classroom sessions
• Collaborating with teachers to support ASL instruction and student learning needs
• Maintaining compliance with state certification standards and district policies
• Managing a middle school caseload with a focus on two 6th grade students

Qualifications:

• Valid Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) certification specifically for Sign Language Interpreting
• Proven experience as a Telehealth or remote Sign Language Interpreter in educational settings
• Strong knowledge of American Sign Language and Deaf culture
• Ability to work independently in a virtual environment while adhering to scheduled hours

Location: This is a virtual position, fully remote, serving students within the designated area.

Hours: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:45 AM to 4:15 PM.
