Virtual School-Based Sign Language Interpreter Georgia

Soliant VocoVision is seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) to provide interpretation services for students in Georgia schools. This role ensures Deaf and Hard of Hearing students have full access to classroom instruction and communication in a supportive school environment.

Position Overview

• Full-time and part-time openings available
• School-based virtual interpreting role
• 1099 Independent Contractor
• Contract for the school year with potential renewal
• Pay: $35–$40/hour

Requirements

• EIPA score of 3.5 or higher required
• Active Georgia PSC certification required
• Strong ASL fluency and interpreting skills
• School-based interpreting experience preferred (K–12)

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time sign language interpretation for students in academic settings
• Support classroom instruction and participation across subjects
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
• Assist in IEP meetings and ensure accurate communication access
• Maintain professional interpreting standards and confidentiality
