A remote Sign Language Interpreter position is available for educational settings, providing telehealth support and on-site interpreting services. This contract role offers a schedule accommodating part-time hours with consistent blocks throughout the school day.
Location:
- Remote position supporting a school in Spring Hill, KS
Schedule:
- Approximately 12.92 hours per week
- Daily assignments from 8:45 AM to 9:30 AM, 10:25 AM to 11:10 AM, and 12:25 PM to 1:10 PM, Monday through Friday
- Additional coverage from 9:30 AM to 10:20 AM on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Qualifications:
- Minimum EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score of 3.5 or higher
- Must be registered with or willing to register with the Kansas Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (KCDHH)
- Successful completion of a technical screen is required
Responsibilities:
- Provide clear and accurate sign language interpretation for students and staff during scheduled sessions
- Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to ensure seamless communication
- Collaborate with educational professionals to support the communication needs of deaf or hard-of-hearing students
- Maintain professional standards, confidentiality, and compliance with school policies and regulatory requirements
