This on-site contract opportunity is projected to begin on August 10, 2026, through May 28, 2027, offering a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. As a vital part of the learning community, you’ll provide 1:1 interpreter support to a student, ensuring full access to communication and education. Assignments regarding school locations will be detailed upon placement.

Desired Skills and Required Qualifications:

  • Certification to interpret in an educational setting
  • EIPA score of 3.0 or above
    OR
  • RID certification: NIC, NAD, or Educational Certification (K–12 or OTC)
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language and a thorough understanding of interpreter/translator protocols in school settings

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver clear and accurate sign language interpreting services for assigned student(s) within various classroom and school environments
  • Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to support optimal communication
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
  • Complete all district-required documentation and participate in the onboarding process, which includes procedural agreements and weekly timesheets

This position requires completion of the district's two-part onboarding process for badge issuance and access. All required credentialing must be completed prior to your start date.
