Qualifications & Experience:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with fluency in interpreting and teaching
• Relevant certification and/or licensure to interpret in an academic setting (state standards apply)
• Strong interpersonal skills and a dedication to fostering accessible learning
• Previous experience working with deaf or hard-of-hearing students in a school environment is highly valued
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and effective sign language interpreting services in classrooms and throughout the school day
• Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and staff, ensuring all parties are engaged and supported
• Assist in the development and delivery of lesson plans or classroom activities for ASL students
