This contract opportunity involves supporting students across multiple grade levels, with a special focus on 1:1 services for high school learners. You’ll play a vital role in enhancing communication and access to curriculum alongside an inclusive team of professionals committed to student success.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid EIPA score of 4.0+ or current RID/NAD certification
  • Quality Assurance Screening Test (QAST) Level III or higher
  • At least 2 years of professional sign language interpreting experience (preferred)
  • Comfort interpreting for various age groups, from kindergarten to high school
  • Flexibility to travel between buildings as needed (locations less than a mile apart)
  • Professionalism, adaptability, and strong communication skills

Role Highlights:

  • Deliver 1:1 interpretation for a high school student during a full-time school week (35–37.5 hours, Monday–Friday)
  • Provide part-time interpretation for a high school student with severe and profound needs (Monday, Thursday, Friday, 8:40 AM – 4:15 PM)
  • Accompany students as they move between buildings for enhanced support
  • Foster positive and respectful relationships with students and school staff
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all ethical standards in educational interpreting
  • Support students’ learning and social participation through accurate, expressive interpretation
