Qualifications:

  • Valid EIPA certification with a score of at least 4.0 (applicants with slightly lower scores but strong experience will be considered)
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and interpreting in educational settings
  • Previous experience working with high school students preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a school environment
  • Reliable and punctual for an 8:15am-3:05pm schedule

Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate and effective sign language interpreting for a high school student in classes and school activities
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and students to facilitate communication and inclusion
  • Support student learning goals and participate in relevant meetings when needed
  • Uphold ethical standards and best practices for educational interpreting
