Bring your passion for supporting young learners to an engaging contract opportunity as a Sign Language Interpreter in a vibrant Kindergarten setting. This rewarding position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by providing foundational American Sign Language (ASL) support to students just beginning their ASL journey. You'll work half-days each school day, aligning with the academic calendar from August through June, with the possibility to extend into future school years.

What you’ll bring:

  • Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, particularly in educational or early learning environments
  • Ability to facilitate communication for Kindergarten-aged students acquiring foundational ASL skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and patience for working with young children
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom atmosphere

Your impact each day:

  • Provide clear ASL interpretation in a Kindergarten classroom to support students' day-to-day communication and learning
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to ensure effective communication strategies are in place
