Qualifications/Experience:

  • Valid certification or licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter (in accordance with state and educational requirements)
  • Proficiency with ASL and experience in K-12 learning environments
  • Ability to adapt to new settings and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide sign language interpretation for students, staff, and families in various school settings
  • Ensure the communication needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing are met with accuracy and professionalism

  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student progress reports
