In this role, you'll be working closely, one-on-one, with an elementary student to facilitate clear communication and provide the support necessary for a successful educational experience. You’ll be fully immersed in the school day, working 40 hours weekly on campus with faculty and students who appreciate your dedication and skills.

Qualifications:

  • Valid certification as a Sign Language Interpreter
  • Minimum 3.0 EIPA Score (required)
  • Prior experience in school settings preferred
  • Passion for empowering Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
  • Dedication to confidentiality and maintaining student trust
  • Ability to work full-time onsite

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 sign language interpretation for an elementary student
  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student learning
  • Facilitate clear & effective communication in a classroom environment
  • Adapt to varied instructional styles for optimal student support
  • Observe and report on student progress and engagement
