Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Woodstock, Illinois

Ideal candidates will possess:

• Valid EIPA score of 3.5 or higher and ISBE certification, or EIPA 3.0+ with IBSE approval
• Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language and interpreting within a school or similar environment
• Professionalism, reliability, and adaptability in dynamic academic settings
• Strong commitment to fostering student inclusion and engagement
• Experience interpreting for high school-aged students is a plus

Primary responsibilities include:

• Providing accurate interpretation between spoken English and American Sign Language in a high school classroom
• Facilitating clear communication between student(s), teachers, and peers
• Supporting student participation and success by adapting to classroom needs
• Adhering to ethical standards and confidentiality requirements of educational interpreters
• Collaborating with school staff to ensure student goals and accommodations are met

This part-time position runs from ASAP through May 30, 2027, and is scheduled weekdays from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, committing to a stable, midday timeframe that’s ideal for work-life flexibility.
