Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current state SLP license (CCC required for SLPs); SLPAs must hold appropriate state certification
- Previous experience in a school environment highly preferred
- Comfort working with K-12 students of varied backgrounds and abilities
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language services to students per Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Complete thorough assessments, develop intervention plans, and document progress efficiently
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including educators, families, and school staff
- Support generalization of language and communication skills into students’ daily classroom routines
- Attend IEP meetings and participate in ongoing professional development
- Mentor and provide guidance to SLPAs if assigned
