A reputable school in Adelanto, CA, is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract position during the 2024-2025 academic year. This in-person role requires a professional comfortable working with students diagnosed with Autism, emphasizing specialized care and tailored communication support.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Experience in pediatric speech therapy, particularly in school settings
  • Familiarity with teletherapy platforms is advantageous but this role is strictly in-person
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a Vocational Behaviorist (VBD) support model
  • Comfort and competence in working with students on the Autism spectrum
  • Knowledge of Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) collaboration is a plus

Location:

  • Position is based in Adelanto, CA, with specific focus on service delivery for the school campus in Lancaster, CA

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-person assessment and therapy services to students with communication disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers and behavioral specialists
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy goals accordingly
  • Maintain accurate documentation following district and state guidelines
