A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for a contract position supporting Extended School Year (ESY) services in a K-12 educational setting located in Adrian, MI. This role provides valuable support to students requiring speech and language therapy during the summer months, focusing on pediatric caseloads in a school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language therapy services to students from Kindergarten through 12th grade.
  • Implement and support the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices for students with complex communication needs.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor progress and document therapy outcomes in compliance with school and state regulations.
  • Provide consultation and training to staff regarding students’ speech and language needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathology certification (Certificate of Clinical Competence, CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly within school settings.
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is favorable but not mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with AAC devices.
  • Prior involvement in ESY programming highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
