A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2026/2027 school year in Adrian, MI. This role offers the chance to work with a diverse caseload of approximately 50 students, providing essential speech and language services. Candidates with experience using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices are especially encouraged to apply. Both full-time and part-time positions are available to accommodate different schedules.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech and language evaluations to identify student needs
- Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans
- Collaborating with educators, families, and support staff to enhance student communication
- Utilizing AAC devices effectively to support non-verbal or minimally verbal students
- Maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completion preferred
- Previous experience working in a school setting highly valued
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with children and school teams
- Knowledge of AAC devices and their application in therapeutic settings
