Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students near Akron, OH, as a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC. This opportunity focuses on making a positive impact in both preschool and elementary environments during the 2024 fall semester. You'll have the chance to arrange your coverage strategically, ensuring quality and tailored support for each school based on their needs.

In this role, you'll provide services 4 to 5 days per week. One of the primary positions involves a preschool caseload, requiring one day dedicated to evaluations and three days focusing on dynamic classroom-based therapy. A second opening is available, geared toward therapy provision (no evaluations required) across both preschool and elementary settings. Flexibility with your schedule and locations is encouraged to best serve multiple schools.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid SLP license in Ohio and ASHA CCC required
  • Experience in school-based or pediatric speech therapy preferred
  • Strong evaluation and therapy planning skills
  • Effective communicator, comfortable working collaboratively with teachers, families, and students
  • Ability to adapt to varying school environments and caseload needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Complete evaluations for preschool-aged students (where applicable)
  • Deliver engaging therapy sessions, both in classroom and individual settings
  • Manage documentation and progress reporting in line with school policies
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote student success
  • Adjust scheduling and adapt approaches based on changing school needs
