Embark on a rewarding journey supporting children’s speech and language growth in a contract opportunity near Akron, OH! We're seeking a dynamic, certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) for the upcoming school year to deliver meaningful interventions and assessments in preschool and elementary settings. This role offers flexibility, as we work to accommodate placements across specific schools based on your preferences.

In this role, you'll have the chance to:

  • Provide preschool speech therapy coverage 4-5 days each week, with scheduled time set aside for evaluations (1 day) and in-class therapy (3 days) with preschool students.
  • Cover an additional SLP therapy-only position, supporting both preschool and elementary students (no evaluations required for this component).
  • Partners with educators and school staff, integrating speech and language strategies into daily routines and supporting students’ IEP goals.
  • Document student progress, prepare relevant reports, and participate in IEP team meetings as appropriate.
  • Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal regulations for speech-language services.

Qualifications:

  • Valid SLP-CCC credential required.
  • Prior experience in early childhood and/or elementary school settings is highly desired.
  • Familiarity with IEPs, evaluation tools, and therapy planning for young learners.
  • Strong communication skills and adaptability to a variety of school environments.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive approach to supporting students with diverse backgrounds.
