School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Akron, Ohio

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
• State licensure (or eligibility) for speech-language pathology in Ohio
• Previous experience in a school setting preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to develop and modify individualized treatment plans

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students to identify speech, language, and communication difficulties
• Develop and implement IEPs in coordination with multi-disciplinary teams
• Deliver direct therapy services to students, utilizing evidence-based techniques
• Maintain thorough documentation of student progress, assessments, and services provided
• Collaborate with teachers and families to integrate speech and language goals into classroom routines
• Participate in school meetings and contribute to professional development initiatives
