A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available within a K-12 school setting in Akron, OH. This contract position spans a conventional school year, beginning in January and concluding at the end of the school year. The role involves working with students at both a high school and a small elementary school, providing comprehensive speech and language services across a diverse pediatric population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language evaluations for students in compliance with CCC and CFY standards.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals to support student communication goals.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports consistent with legal and district requirements.
  • Use evidence-based practices to address pediatric speech, language, and communication disorders in both school and healthcare contexts.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required.
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY) strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations in school and healthcare settings.
  • Familiarity with speech-language pathology services in K-12 education.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Licensure to practice as an SLP in Ohio is required.

Location: Akron, Ohio Setting: K-12 School (1 high school and 1 small elementary school) Contract Length: Contract, CSY, Start in January, end of school year
