Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current SLP-CCC credential
  • State licensure (or eligibility) for Speech-Language Pathology in Alabama
  • Prior experience working in school settings or with school-aged children
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop individualized treatment plans and document progress
  • Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to student success

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations of students’ speech and language abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs
  • Provide direct and consultative speech therapy services in individual and group settings
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy goals with educational objectives
  • Maintain accurate documentation of progress, sessions, and compliance with state/federal guidelines
  • Offer support and education to families and school staff about communication and language development
