Three onsite positions are open, each offering a chance to make a meaningful difference in students’ lives across multiple schools in the area. Your expertise will serve a caseload of approximately 60 students, ensuring that a diverse group receives dedicated care and guidance.
You'll collaborate closely with educators and families to deliver effective, individualized treatment plans for student growth and communication success. Flexible school placements are available: one full-time at a high school, and two split roles between elementary and middle schools on a rotating schedule.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- SLP license valid in Alabama
- SLP Educator certification for Alabama public schools (please verify via the Alabama credentials portal)
- Experience within school-based settings preferred
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students
- Design and implement effective, evidence-based interventions tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to support student IEP goals
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Travel between designated schools within the district if assigned to split-site positions
- Provide advocacy and education for students, peers, and families regarding communication challenges
