Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Valid SLP license for New York State
  • Experience in school-based settings, ideally with middle school and pediatric populations
  • Proficiency in managing a diverse caseload of communication disorders and disabilities
  • Comfortable with teletherapy platforms and adapting services to virtual or in-person needs
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with teachers, families, and support staff

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for middle school students
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to unique student needs
  • Deliver direct therapy sessions in a self-contained classroom and support students with varying disabilities
  • Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Consult with educators and caregivers to encourage generalization of skills across settings
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and best practice sharing within the school community
