Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Valid SLP license for New York State
- Experience in school-based settings, ideally with middle school and pediatric populations
- Proficiency in managing a diverse caseload of communication disorders and disabilities
- Comfortable with teletherapy platforms and adapting services to virtual or in-person needs
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with teachers, families, and support staff
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for middle school students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to unique student needs
- Deliver direct therapy sessions in a self-contained classroom and support students with varying disabilities
- Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings
- Consult with educators and caregivers to encourage generalization of skills across settings
- Participate in ongoing professional development and best practice sharing within the school community
