Step into a rewarding contract role serving young learners aged 3-5 in a supportive educational setting near Albany, NY. This opportunity offers a full-time maternity leave coverage for the first semester, aligning with the traditional 10-month school calendar. You’ll play a vital part in early intervention and communication development through 40-42 sessions weekly, ensuring students have access to the speech and language support they need.

Ideal qualifications and experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
  • Previous experience working with preschool-aged students (ages 3-5) in a school or early childhood environment
  • Ability to manage caseload effectively and deliver engaging, evidence-based therapy sessions
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators and families
  • Proficiency with IEP documentation and compliance standards
  • Comfortable working student hours, 8:30 AM–2:00 PM
  • Clinical Fellows (CFY) are welcome; virtual supervision available
  • SLPAs not accepted for this assignment

Key responsibilities in this position:

  • Deliver speech-language therapy to preschool students across individual and small group settings
  • Assess, diagnose, and provide ongoing treatment for speech and language disorders
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation aligned with school and state guidelines
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, aides, and parents to support student progress
  • Adapt activities for diverse learning needs and provide consultative services as required
