School Speech Language Pathologist - Albany, NY

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing crucial speech-language services to elementary students in a school-based setting near the Albany, NY area. This position offers full-time hours, Monday through Friday, from 7:45am to 2:45pm. Your work will be focused on helping kindergarten through fifth-grade learners build their communication skills and confidence for academic and personal success. Contract dates are available from September to November or for the full school year through June.

Key Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active SLP license (New York)
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
• Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication abilities

What You'll Be Doing:

• Conducting up to nine speech-language sessions per day, with time allocated for lunch and two planning periods
• Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs
• Evaluating student progress, maintaining accurate records, and communicating results to families and school teams
• Collaborating with teachers, special educators, and support staff to support students’ IEP goals
• Providing consultation, resources, and strategies to classroom teachers to generalize speech and language skills throughout the school day
• Participating in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions as needed
