Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Licensure to practice as an SLP in Virginia (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of IEP process and best practices in school-based speech therapy
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
  • Deliver speech and language interventions in individual and group settings
  • Monitor progress, maintain thorough documentation, and communicate results to staff and families
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education personnel, and caregivers to support student success
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training
