Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Licensure to practice as an SLP in Virginia (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP process and best practices in school-based speech therapy
- Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Deliver speech and language interventions in individual and group settings
- Monitor progress, maintain thorough documentation, and communicate results to staff and families
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education personnel, and caregivers to support student success
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training
