What’s Needed For Success:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Valid and current state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred, though strong CFs considered
  • Prior experience working with children or adolescents, especially in school settings
  • Understanding of IEP process and relevant documentation
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEP goals
  • Provide direct therapy sessions, both individual and group, to address students’ needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to support student progress
  • Monitor, document, and report student progress toward outlined goals
  • Consult regularly with school teams to ensure coordinated care
  • Stay current with best practices and continuing education in speech-language pathology
