Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Current licensure (or ability to obtain) in school-based therapy for Michigan
  • Strong knowledge of IEP process and experience with evaluations and goal writing
  • Passion for working with school-aged children of diverse backgrounds and needs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct screening, assessment, and diagnostics to evaluate students’ speech and language needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and goals
  • Collaborate regularly with teachers, special education staff, and families
  • Document progress and complete required reports in accordance with district guidelines
  • Provide direct therapy to students both individually and in small group settings
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
  • Stay current with best practices and continuing education within the field
