This contract opportunity is available for a dedicated professional who thrives in an educational setting, supporting Extended School Year (ESY) students in a self-contained environment. The assignment is based onsite near Algonquin, IL, and runs from May 27th and June 1st through June 25th, 2026, with work hours from 7:45 AM to 12:15 PM, Monday through Thursday.
Key Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Valid SLP license in Illinois and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous school-based practice, especially with self-contained or special education populations
- Experience in administering and documenting IEP minutes for ESY students
- Strong skills in schedule creation, session planning, and adapting materials to diverse student needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, staff, and families
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech and language therapy sessions onsite for ESY students per IEP requirements
- Develop, implement, and manage a therapy schedule that aligns with students’ instructional needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and records, fulfilling all compliance and reporting standards
- Collaborate with classroom staff to integrate speech/language goals and support overall student success
- Design engaging and effective therapy activities tailored to a variety of communication challenges
