Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Allentown, PA

This contract opportunity runs from approximately December 13 to February 25, serving a caseload of about 65 students. Your days will follow a consistent schedule: 7:15–9:00 a.m. at the junior high/high school and 9:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. at S.S. Palmer, allowing for a smooth daily routine.

Ideal candidates will bring expertise in school-based speech therapy and a commitment to empowering students academically and socially.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Valid Pennsylvania SLP license and current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
• Prior experience working in school settings, preferably with grades 3–12
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
• Ability to manage a moderate caseload independently and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Understanding of IEP development and progress monitoring for speech and language goals

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services to students in alignment with their IEPs
• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
• Develop engaging therapy plans, track student progress, and adjust interventions as necessary
• Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to support student needs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student evaluations
