Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Allentown, PA

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current state licensure (or eligibility) for Speech-Language Pathology
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, though Clinical Fellows are also welcome
• Previous experience in a school-based setting is desirable
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and parents

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments to determine students’ speech and language therapy needs
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans aimed at addressing individual IEP goals
• Deliver direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings
• Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and communication logs in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with special education and general education teachers to support classroom strategies
• Provide education and resources to families and staff on effective communication strategies
• Stay current with best practices and continuing education in the field of speech-language pathology
