Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Amsterdam, NY

Desired Background & Skills:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences & Disorders
• Current or eligible SLP license in the state
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFY) considered with supervision available
• Experience in pediatric and/or school-based settings working with K-12 students
• Strong skills in assessment, intervention, and documentation for various speech, language, communication, and swallowing needs
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, school staff, and families
• Commitment to providing inclusive, culturally competent services

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication evaluations for students K-12
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Deliver direct and consultative speech therapy services in alignment with educational goals
• Maintain accurate records and stay compliant with school and state guidelines
• Communicate progress and recommendations to families and educational teams
• Provide support and resources to educators to promote students' success
