A school district in Anaheim, CA is seeking a dedicated Speech and Language Pathologist for an immediate contract assignment. This role focuses on providing specialized speech therapy services two days per week, supporting preschool children as well as students in a Mild/Moderate Special Day Class (SDC).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for preschool and special education students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans targeting communication skills
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to monitor student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports as required by the district
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student success
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) credential/license to practice in a school setting
- Experience working with preschool-aged children and students with mild to moderate disabilities
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development and therapy techniques
- Ability to provide targeted interventions in both individual and small group settings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, families, and staff
