Two dedicated professionals are needed to provide speech and language services in an engaging school environment, supporting around 47 elementary-aged students across approximately two sites. This full-time contract position runs from August 14, 2026, through May 27, 2027, and offers you the opportunity to use your expertise to foster communication and confidence in young learners.
Qualifications & Licensure:
- Valid Alaska Speech-Language Pathology license and current AK Certification required
- ASHA CCCs required for SLPs
- Prior experience in school-based settings highly preferred
- Ability to manage a diverse elementary caseload and collaborate on-site (no VOCO/virtual work)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexibility, adaptability, and commitment to student success
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering direct and indirect speech-language therapy services as outlined in students’ IEPs
- Conducting assessments, progress monitoring, and comprehensive documentation
- Collaborating with teachers, support staff, and families to develop strategies tailored to each student’s needs
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to the development of goals and service plans
- Maintaining strict confidentiality and adhering to ethical and legal standards
