Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred; consideration given to strong CFY candidates
- Experience working in K-12 schools or in pediatric settings is a plus
- Knowledgeable in best practices for evaluation and intervention for diverse student populations
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students, identifying individual needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide direct therapy to students, using evidence-based strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress records in accordance with district and legal requirements
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to maximize student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations
- Engage in professional development and stay current with advances in the field
