An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide onsite support covering multiple maternity leaves within a school district in the Andover, MN area. This contract position offers a dynamic caseload primarily focused on therapy services with minimal evaluation responsibilities, ideal for candidates seeking varied school-based experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services following a 3:1 service model (three weeks direct services followed by one week indirect services).
- Manage caseloads consisting of elementary students, including those in Setting III CDC.
- Provide therapy at multiple school sites including elementary and middle schools within the district.
- Collaborate effectively with educational staff and participate in communication to support students’ progress.
- Maintain documentation and adhere to applicable licensure and district policies.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid SLP licensure and Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Experience in school-based speech-language pathology services.
- Familiarity with typical elementary caseloads and diverse student needs including Setting III CDC settings.
- Ability to work onsite and travel between multiple school locations within the district.
- Flexibility to accommodate varying start and end dates dependent on maternity leave schedules.
Position Details:
- Location: Andover, MN region.
- Contract hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Caseload coverage includes multiple leaves with durations from mid-December through the end of May.
- Separate evaluation team assigned, so focus remains on therapeutic intervention.
