Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active CCC–SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology)
- Previous experience with pediatric populations, preferably within K–8 school settings
- State licensure or eligibility to practice as an SLP in Minnesota
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt practices for diverse learners and varying severity of speech/language needs
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services to K–8 students
- Administer evaluations, write individualized education plans (IEPs), and monitor student progress
- Deliver direct therapy and consultative services in alignment with school and state guidelines
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, collaborating with teachers and support staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with timelines for reports and IEPs
- Engage with families to support student development and generalize skills across settings
