We’re seeking a dedicated professional skilled in school-based speech-language pathology to work within a vibrant educational community near Ann Arbor, MI. This contract position provides the chance to make a meaningful difference for students across grades K-5.
In this role, you’ll engage with a manageable caseload of 45-55 students, collaborating closely with educators and families to help students achieve their communication goals. Your daily schedule runs from 8:50 a.m. to 4:10 p.m., allowing you to work standard school hours while enjoying evenings for your own pursuits.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Current SLP license (CFY or CCC considered)
- Experience or strong interest in elementary school speech therapy
- Familiarity with IEP processes for school settings
- Knowledgeable in pediatric speech/language disorders
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Understanding of evidence-based interventions for K-5 populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessments, develop and deliver individualized therapy, and document progress for elementary students
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and multi-disciplinary collaborations
- Partner with teachers and parents to generalize skills across school environments
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with district and professional standards
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning atmosphere
