Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Valid, current SLP state licensure (or eligibility)
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred
  • Previous experience providing speech and language services in a K-12 school setting is highly valued
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work well independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students’ needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide direct and consultative speech and language therapy services
  • Track student progress, manage documentation, and maintain compliance with IEP and school policies
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support each student’s goals
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to inform student plans
  • Offer guidance and support to staff on communication strategies in the classroom
