Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current state licensure or eligibility to obtain state licensure as an SLP
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- School-based SLP experience or strong interest in working with school-aged children
- Competency with evaluating, diagnosing, and developing individualized treatment plans
- Effective communicator who can collaborate productively with teachers, staff, and families
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for student populations
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct therapy services, individually and in groups, targeting articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language, and social communication
- Collaborate with educational teams to integrate therapy goals within the classroom environment
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student progress reviews
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
- Educate staff and parents/guardians on strategies to support language growth
