Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Apopka, FL

A highly organized district has just reopened an urgent opportunity for a Speech Language Pathologist to join their team on-site for the academic year. Key Qualifications:

• Valid Florida State License in Speech-Language Pathology
• SLP-CCC credential through ASHA
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related field
• Previous experience working with middle or elementary school populations preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
• Ability to complete background check, fingerprinting, and district credentialing requirements

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide speech and language therapy to a caseload of 60–65 students in grades 6–8
• Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate documentation of interventions, progress notes, and communications
• Deliver direct and consultative services in a school-based setting
• Stay compliant with district and legal requirements for special education
