A highly organized district has just reopened an urgent opportunity for a Speech Language Pathologist to join their team on-site for the academic year. Your expertise will make a significant difference in the lives of students in grades 6–8, all while working closely with supportive educators and staff.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Florida State License in Speech-Language Pathology
- SLP-CCC credential through ASHA
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related field
- Previous experience working with middle or elementary school populations preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Ability to complete background check, fingerprinting, and district credentialing requirements
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to a caseload of 60–65 students in grades 6–8
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation of interventions, progress notes, and communications
- Deliver direct and consultative services in a school-based setting
- Stay compliant with district and legal requirements for special education
