School Speech Language Pathologist - Apopka, FL

Interviewing for this contract opportunity begins immediately starting 10/28. If you are a licensed Speech Language Pathologist seeking to make a difference in an elementary school setting, this supportive school community near Apopka, FL is looking for you! This position serves a diverse K-5 caseload of approximately 30-40 students, most of whom have speech and language impairments. You'll work alongside a full-time SLP on-site, ensuring collaboration and ongoing support.

Key qualifications:

• Hold a current and active provisional, FL DOH SLP license, or certification through FLDOE
• School-based experience is strongly preferred, but candidates without it may still be considered
• Ability to commit to a part-time schedule: 3 days per week, 8:00am – 3:30pm (21 hours/week)
• Strong communication skills and adaptability to varying student needs
• Comfortable with completing district onboarding, including required forms and credentialing steps

Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech-language therapy to K-5 students, adapting interventions to meet individual needs
• Maintain timely, accurate student records and progress notes
• Work collaboratively with the campus’s full-time SLP and education team
• Develop and follow appropriate IEP goals, document progress, and participate in student meetings
• Communicate effectively with staff and families regarding student progress and needs

This contract position begins 11/2/2026 and continues through the end of May 2027 (or as soon as district clearance is obtained). You’ll cover Fruitland Park Elementary, balancing your caseload with collaboration from a supportive peer SLP.
