This contract opportunity spans the 2026–2027 academic year, starting August 18th and concluding June 2nd, and offers the chance to work closely with students who use assistive technology and present with complex communication needs.
Your expertise will help empower students to achieve their fullest potential in both academic and real-world settings. The full-time schedule—37.5 hours weekly, Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm—ensures consistency and engagement with the school community.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Previous experience with high school-aged students, including those transitioning to adulthood
- Demonstrated skill in providing therapy to students with complex needs
- Proficiency with assistive technology in speech-language interventions
- Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to individual student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy for students with a range of needs, utilizing various assistive technologies
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement effective individual education plans (IEPs)
- Assess, monitor, and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
- Provide training and resources to staff and families on the use of assistive communication tools
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to all compliance standards
