Immediate openings are available for bilingual (Spanish & English) SLPs eager to make a difference during the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time, itinerant contract opportunity offers the chance to work across two school locations, providing valuable services to a dynamic and varied caseload that averages around 45 students per SLP.

Your work will span multiple age groups and settings, allowing you to collaborate with dedicated professionals and contribute your expertise in a supportive environment. The school district emphasizes balanced workloads and offers ample resources to help you succeed.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP endorsement
  • Active Illinois SLP license
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish required
  • Experience or strong interest in school-based speech therapy
  • Ability to work across multiple school locations as needed
  • Passion for fostering communication development in diverse student populations

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy to students across two school sites in an itinerant capacity
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders per educational plans
  • Develop and implement individualized IEP goals in collaboration with educational teams
  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation and progress reports
  • Work closely with families, staff, and administrators to ensure student success
